PayPal Collection Notice

In this collection notice (Notice), “we”, “us” or “our” means PayPal Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 93 111 195 389), and “you” and “your” includes (as the case may be) PayPal users, PayPal account holders, and any person who is an authorised user or beneficial owner of, and / or holds office in, an entity which is a PayPal merchant.

This Notice should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Statement.

We collect personal information about you in order to identify you in accordance with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006, comply with all applicable laws, provide you with our services, and for purposes otherwise set out in our Privacy Statement.

The information you provide will be collected by or on behalf of us and may be disclosed to third parties that help us deliver our services, as required by law, or as otherwise set out in our Privacy Statement. We may disclose your personal information to recipients that are located outside of Australia, including to our third-party service providers in the United States of America and elsewhere in the world. Please refer to our Privacy Statement, the section under “Transfers of Your Personal Data to Other Countries” for further details.

If you do not provide the requested information, we may not be able to provide all our services and products to you, or discharge our regulatory obligations.

Lastly, our Privacy Statement explains: (i) how we store and use, and how you may access and correct, your personal information; and (ii) how you can lodge a complaint regarding the handling of your personal information and how we will handle any complaint.
